Arsenal midfielder Jorginho said in an interview that although he is eager to play, he will not go to talk to Arteta because of this, because he wants to speak with his performance to win the opportunity for himself.
Jorginho said, “I have a very good relationship with Arteta and he doesn’t need to explain anything to me. All I need to do is stay calm, work hard every day and show him that I am ready to play.”
”For me, knocking on the door of the coach’s office has never been the right thing to do. I’ve always spoken with my performances, verbal sparring has never been my style. I feel good, I’m happy at Arsenal, but obviously every player wants to play.”
He added: “If you look back at all the teams I’ve played for, I’ve always had to fight to get a chance to play. Nothing was ever given to me for nothing and I had to put in a lot of hard work. I’ve always had to fight my hardest, you know?”
”The club’s program is constantly evolving and the recent transfer window proved that. At the end of the day, the important thing is that Arsenal are getting points and the team is doing well.”
